Our Asian specialist chef, Mike, has recently returned from the most incredible trip to Japan and he can’t wait to share his love of Japanese culture and its food.
In this course, you’ll learn the fundamentals of Japanese cooking including the key ingredients, various rolling, folding and plating techniques, and finally, cooking and tasting some of the most popular Japanese dishes, from gyozas to the mighty ramen.
This is a culinary journey across Japan with a guide who couldn’t be more enthusiastic and passionate about its delicious cuisine.
In this course, you’ll learn how to make:
Miso soup.
Classic pork gyoza.
Light and crispy vegetable tempura batter demonstration.
Taking centre stage, a stunning shoyu ramen with ajitsuke tamago (soy eggs), and the classic plating technique.
Classic sushi rolls.
Delicious kushiyaki chicken wings with leeks and spring onion.
Wakame and cucumber salad.
Japanese inspired cocktail, tea and dessert.
This four-hour cooking and dining experience is the perfect introduction to Japanese cuisine at home.
